We ate at Widow’s Tavern tonight and the food was amazing and the service even better. Cole was server and he was fantastic... attentive informative and friendly. One of the best servers we’ve had in a while. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks Cole for making our early dinner an enjoyable one!
We hosted a surprise 60th birthday dinner for my mom at Widow’s and it was a fabulous evening! The food was incredible! Im still dreaming about the blacken chicken pasta, it was so creamy and delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were out of this world! Our family had the best time here celebrating my mom. The service was amazing. They took such great care of our large party (20 adults and 2 kids) and were so attentive and pleasant. Widow’s has always been a restaurant staple in our family and it was awesome to spend the night at one of our favorite places celebrating my mom. Tommy and Regan went above and beyond to make my mom’s night incredibly special!
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant! The food was excellent, and the portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish them, though I’m not complaining. The server and hostess were both friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a delightful experience!
Cosy pub located in a historic building complete with it's own ghost. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with our choices. The food was fresh and everything was cooked as requested. The portions were generous. There's plenty of parking. They have live music on certain evenings.
When we go out of town, we always look for someplace with a unique menu and atmosphere. This place fit the bill for sure. We sat outside, where we could have our well-behaved dog with us. The staff was so friendly! They even brought Finn out a bowl of water with our drinks. The food was amazing. We kept saying that we were full but couldn't leave the food alone. I highly recommend.
This place is a hidden gem that deserves more credit and business than it gets. It’s a super cute setting, there’s live entertainment, indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking, a bar, attentive customer service just about every time, and they never miss when it comes to food. The salmon is savory, the widows grilled chicken sandwich is thick and crunchy, and the blackened chicken pasta is addictive. The portion is HUGE - probably enough for two or three people.
We had a wedding rehearsal luncheon at The Widow's Tavern in Stockertown. Tom was very easy to work with and offered helpful suggestions. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Unique needs for a vegetarian and children were met with ease. The room upstairs was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Our event went off without a hitch. We highly recommend The Widow's Tavern.
